A Typical Day

Event Coverage: Photograph events, capturing key moments, candid interactions, and staged shots under various lighting conditions.
Equipment Proficiency: Use professional-grade DSLR or mirrorless cameras such as Canon EOS R5, Nikon Z7 II, or Sony A7R IV, with a range of lenses (wide-angle, telephoto, prime).
Lighting Techniques: Employ advanced lighting techniques, including off-camera flash, continuous lighting, and reflectors, to achieve optimal exposure and creative effects.
Editing and Post-Processing: Edit and retouch images using software like Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, ensuring color accuracy and consistency.
Timely Delivery: Provide edited photos promptly for use in social media, marketing materials, or client deliverables, often within tight deadlines.
Shot Planning: Collaborate with event planners to create shot lists and understand key moments that need to be captured.
Data Management: Efficiently manage large volumes of digital files, including backup procedures and organization.
Live Photo Feeds: Set up and manage systems for providing live photo feeds during events when required.
Compliance: Obtain necessary permissions for photographing individuals, especially in private or sensitive events, and respect client confidentiality.
Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all photography equipment is in excellent working condition, performing regular checks and maintenance.
Adaptability: Adjust to changing conditions and client requests during events, maintaining professionalism and composure.

Your Expertise

Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a professional photographer, with a portfolio demonstrating expertise in event photography.
Technical Skills: Proficient with professional cameras and lenses, lighting equipment, and editing software.
Creative Vision: Strong eye for composition, storytelling, and capturing the essence of events.
Time Management: Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, comfortable interacting with clients and event attendees.
Physical Ability: Capable of working long hours on your feet and carrying equipment.
Professionalism: Punctual, reliable, and able to maintain a high standard of conduct.
Equipment Ownership: Owns professional photography gear suitable for high-quality event coverage.
Licensing and Insurance: Holds appropriate business licenses and liability insurance.
