When Milestone Church sought to elevate their summer high school camp at Lonehollow Ranch in Vanderpool, Texas, they turned to a trusted partner: Limitless Lights and Sound. Known for our commitment to creating immersive, worship-enhancing experiences, we were thrilled to once again collaborate with Milestone Church, providing a full range of audio, video, and lighting (AVL) services in the camp’s outdoor amphitheater.
For this outdoor setting, we knew that delivering crystal-clear audio across the entire amphitheater was essential. Our solution? The dBTechnologies VIO Line Array bundle, a powerhouse system perfect for open-air venues. With its high SPL and long throw capabilities, this system ensured that every note and word could be heard clearly, from the front row to the back.
We also incorporated two QSC K10.2 speakers for fill coverage, making sure no seat was left out of the audio experience. The dBTechnologies VIO’s robust, weather-resistant design was a perfect match for the unpredictable Texas weather, delivering consistent sound quality regardless of the elements.
For the worship band, we provided a comprehensive package, including our band microphone stand kit, mic case bundle, DI kit, Shure PSM1000 IEMs, and Shure Wireless ULXD Combo Quad Kit. Our Midas M32 Digital Mixer, known for its versatility and user-friendly interface, was the heart of the audio setup, enabling seamless mixing throughout the week. This mix of gear ensured that the band’s performance resonated deeply, keeping the campfire spirit alive in every service.
Lighting played a crucial role in setting the tone for worship services throughout the camp. We brought the energy to each service with our ground package of four Elation Protron 3K Color Strobes, which provided vibrant washes of color that perfectly complemented the dynamic worship music.
The backdrop of the stage, framed by the serene lake, was enhanced by our unique lighting design. We used four 10-foot pipes that split center stage and carried eight Robe CycFX 8s and four Martin Mac Auras, creating a stunning visual that wrapped the students in an immersive worship experience. These fixtures allowed for intricate dimmer chases and simple flourishes of color, adding to the emotional depth of each song.
Stage wash was provided by four Prolight Eclipse FS lights, ensuring that the performers were always in the spotlight, even as the sun set. Night services were given an ethereal touch with gobo breakups from two Martin MAC Viper Performances, which illuminated the amphitheater in a way that felt almost spiritual, perfectly fitting the atmosphere of worship under the stars.
